While many around the globe have their eyes fixated on the events going down in Las Vegas this week, the 9th Auto Expo in New Delhi, India is managing to steal at least a hint of the limelight. Announced today, Tata Motors' $2,500 "1-Lakh" car will actually see production in India later this year, and it has affectionately been dubbed the NANO. For those not keen on such a title, it can also be recognized as "The People's Car," but it seems "The Person's Car" may have been more appropriate. Nevertheless, this little bundle of automotive joy will feature an all-aluminum, two-cylinder engine that can deliver around 54 US miles per gallon, and while stripped down would be a gross understatement, it does promise to "exceed current regulatory (read: safety) requirements." A chopper is a radically customized motorcycle, archetypal examples of which are the customized Harley-Davidsons seen in the 1969 film Easy Rider. Many of today's custom motorcycles are sometimes mistakenly called choppers, but a truly custom-built motorcycle has additional - usually chrome - accessories and billet parts added on to the bike for aesthetic value, while originally such modifications were purely functional in nature.

Nothing says "I'm wealthy, but in an understated way" like a top-o-the-line Benz covered in Swarovski crystals. This shiny ride fit right in next to the private jets and fur-covered sinks on display at the Moscow Millionaire Fair, which is the Russian counterpart of the RNC. While it's probably not safe to drive this around most parts of America, we can see this safely cruising the streets of Moscow in between a handful of black, bulletproof Gelaendewagens.

We're not sure of how this car came to be, but it looks at least like the spiritual brother of this, if not actual kin. If you want something similar for your Benz, you might want to check Garson out and, you know, send us a few grand for the tip.

At the corner of Olympic and Robertson in Los Angeles, you’ll find a new kind of gas station. It isn’t like an ordinary gas station. We started with the typical, everyday station on that corner and renovated it in an eco-friendly way — a little greener in its design and materials and in its use of water and energy.

It’s not a prototype “station of the future.” It’s a station for today that’s a little better, a living lab where we can try out ideas for other stations and where people can find ideas they might want to bring into their own lives. It’s a kind of a conversation between BP and people who come into the station, a conversation about how we can both move up a notch on the green curve.

This idea grew out of BP's commitment to balancing society's need for energy with a responsible approach to the environment. It reflects our belief that small steps in the right direction can make a difference.

Words, they fail us. All that we are able to mutter is a "Mario" and a "pink" before cocking our heads sideways in attempts to understand what exactly is going on here. This we know: This car was spotted in Singapore and it's very, very pink. There are plush toys of various Nintendo characters strewn about inside, Nintendo-themed stickers on the outside as well as PSPs in the back seat. PSPs? How odd. With those stickers and stuffed toys, shouldn't they, you know, know?!

World's Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars

Guinness World Records has confirmed that a new world record was set at the weekend (Saturday 9 June 2007) for the 'world's largest parade of Ferrari cars' with a total of 385 Ferraris circulating the Silverstone race track at the same time.

In order to comply with the Guinness World Record's rules for such an attempt, the cars must all travel over a minimum two mile distance, no more than two car lengths apart, and must be counted at the beginning and the end of the parade. With a starting grid of Ferrari cars stretching from Becketts all the way to Copse on the Silverstone Circuit, the cars completed one full lap and covered a distance of three miles, driving two abreast around the entire circuit.
With several rare and extremely valuable cars in the Guinness World Record parade, ranging from a 250 California Spider and a 275 GTB/C through to the ultra-desirable 250 GTO and the ultra-exclusive FXX, as well as several examples of Ferrari's iconic supercars, the F40, F50 and Enzo, a conservative estimate of the value of the cars in the parade on Saturday would be in excess of Ł60 million - a perfect number to mark the company's 60th Anniversary.
Massimo Fedeli, Managing Director of Ferrari GB Ltd, said: "What an amazing sight... We are proud to have the support of so many Ferrari owners today in setting a new Guinness World Record. Hummer is a brand of sport utility vehicles (SUVs) sold by General Motors, also known as GM. They are based on the military High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle, or Humvee. The Hummer is one of the larger SUV types, with commensurate high fuel consumption. Hummers were originally built by AM General Corporation, formerly the military and government vehicle division of American Motors, in its South Bend, Indiana assembly plant.
AM General had planned to sell a civilian version of the Hummer as far back as the late 1980s. In 1990, two matching white Hummers were driven from London to Beijing over the rough roads of central Soviet Union. The Hummers made the trip with ease, for they were built to drive on off-road terrain. The highlights of this journey were broadcast in the United States on ESPN. This publicity would pale in comparison to the attention that the HMMWV received for its service in Operation: Desert Storm the following year.

Danica Patrick - Sexy girl or good driver ???

Danica Patrick was born on March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Bey and T.J. Patrick. She has one sister named Brooke. Her family moved to Roscoe, Illinois when she was young.

Became interested in racing in 1992 (at the age of 10) following her older sister. She took up Karting and went on to win many championships over the next few year.

Although she began attending High School (Hononegah Community High School), she dropped out and earned a GED in order to pursue a racing career.

She moved to England in 1998 to try her hand at open wheel – Indy style racing. She had a formidable career racing in Europe. In 2001 she won the Gorsline Scholarship Award for top upcoming road racing driver, and eventually finished third in the Toyota Atlantic Championship in 2004 and becaming the first female driver to ever will a pole position for this series before leaving Europe to come back to the U.S.

Danica Patrick gained international fame in 2004 when she announced that she was gong to race in the IRL IndyCar Series for the 2005 season. She did not disappoint her fans and spectators and has proven worthy. In May (29th) she became the fourth woman to race in the Indianapolis 500 She made history and finished the race in fourth place and lead the race for 19 laps. She has also brought new fan interest to IRL racing.

Not only is Danica a talented driver, she is also a beautiful woman which can be seen by her poses in the July 2005 issue of FHM magazine.

She found love in 2005 and became engaged to Paul Hospenthal (physical therapist); Hospenthal is 16 years older than Patrick. They were married on November 19th, 2005 in Scottsdale, Arizona. They currently live in Phoenix, Arizona (when not racing).
